"During Merapi's catastrophic 2006 eruption, an enormous volcanic boulder was flung kilometers from the summit and came to rest in the Kaliadem area. Over time, locals noticed its uncanny resemblance to a human face and named it "Batu Alien." The surrounding area still shows raw scars from pyroclastic flows, creating an otherworldly moonscape."
