"The Watu Jaran swing was built at a location where local Javanese mystics once practiced meditation. The name "Watu Jaran" means "horse stone" in Javanese, referring to a large boulder said to resemble a galloping horse, which ancient riders believed would grant them safe passage through the treacherous Menoreh terrain."
