Pantai Siung is legendary among Indonesia's rock climbing community, with towering cliffs shaped like giant monkey fangs rising dramatically from the white sand. With over 200 climbing routes, it is one of Southeast Asia's premier climbing destinations.
"The name "Siung" comes from the Javanese word for molar tooth, inspired by the massive cliff formations that resemble giant fangs. Local climbing pioneers first mapped these routes in the 1990s, and the beach has since hosted multiple national and international climbing competitions."
